The fashion industry is uniquely competitive. As it's mentioned by the host and supermodel of the hit American fashion design reality show "Project Runway", Heidi Klum’s favorite line is "In fashion, one day you are in, the next day you are out." Along with the cruel circumstances that the pandemic has impacted everyone. In the fashion scene, it has been imposing on fresh graduates. It cuts off their technical and equipment facilities in the school’s studio. Covid has robbed a specific generation's dream of the runway graduation show that all fashion design students have worked hard for years. In this sector, pen and paper are designer's weapons to compete with one another. Therefore, in this pandemic state of mind, it is crucial to embed dreams and hopes for everyone who is fighting for their goal. 


A reality check from the latest survey by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), only 10% of graduates from the country’s 23 fashion schools work in design-related industries. Despite the hard reality, these three fresh graduate designers with different visions will continue to work hard and inspire everyone who works for their dream. They are here to represent the youth who believe that it is a journey to their goals


The first designer is Lydia Kok works as a textile designer for Love Bonito, and she hopes to create purposeful and meaningful designs for the mass audience. The next designer is Jaime Han, who is freelancing and custom orders. She hopes to deliver the same quality, timelessness, and excitement in her designs now and into the future. The last designer is Sheree Toh, who is currently working as a fashion technical assistant in LASALLE. She hopes to have a voice that represents a new generation of Singaporean fashion designers. Now let’s hear their perspective on what life is like after graduating from a fashion school. They will give you different perspectives on what life is like in the industry. They will share the things that they have to go through that bring them closer to their dream.
